Meet the Mahamas.

Each ambassador maps to a key KashePay capability, helping users understand how protection, verification, and payments work together.

Mr Mahama — KashePay KasheScore & Reputation character
Trust Layer

Mr Mahama

KasheScore & Reputation

The wise patriarch and head of the family. Mr Mahama stands for verified identity and the long-term reputation that follows every honest user across the KashePay ecosystem.

In Ghana's online marketplace, trust is everything — and Mr Mahama represents the verification layer that makes it real. Every seller on KashePay goes through Ghana Card identity verification powered by Smile ID, building a KasheScore reputation that follows them across every transaction. "An honest name is worth more than any product," Mr Mahama says. When you see the KashePay trust badge on a seller's profile, that's Mr Mahama's stamp of approval.

Madam Steel — KashePay KasheSafe Escrow & Protection character
Protection

Madam Steel

KasheSafe Escrow & Protection

The iron shield of the family. Madam Steel holds the buyer's money safely in escrow at OmniBSIC Bank until delivery is confirmed — calm, immovable, and on your side.

Online fraud in Ghana often happens the same way: buyer pays, seller disappears. Madam Steel was built to end that story. When you pay through KashePay's KasheSafe escrow, your money goes directly to a dedicated OmniBSIC Bank account — not to the seller, not to KashePay. It stays there, immovable, until you confirm you've received exactly what you ordered. "I have held cedis through storms," Madam Steel says. "No seller touches this money until you say so."

Big Head Joe — KashePay KasheShield AI & Fraud Defence character
AI Security

Big Head Joe

KasheShield AI & Fraud Defence

The family's digital detective. Big Head Joe runs KasheShield — the AI that watches every transaction in real time, spots fraud patterns, and steps in before money is lost.

Payment fraud in Africa is evolving — and Big Head Joe evolves faster. KasheShield AI monitors every transaction on KashePay in real time, checking for patterns that signal fraud: unusual payment timing, mismatched identities, repeated failed verifications. Before a fraudulent transaction can complete, Big Head Joe flags it. "I don't sleep. I don't blink. I read every payment like a book," he says. For buyers and sellers, that means 24/7 AI protection on every cedi.

Titi — KashePay Wallet, QR & Instant Payments character
Payments

Titi

Wallet, QR & Instant Payments

The spark of the family. Titi makes everyday payments feel effortless — tap, scan, send, collect. The face of the KashePay Wallet and QR experience.

Titi makes collecting payments in Ghana as simple as showing a QR code. Whether you're selling at a market in Osu, running deliveries from Tema, or managing orders through WhatsApp, Titi's KashePay Wallet and QR system means every payment goes straight into your escrow-protected account. No bank queues. No waiting for mobile money to clear. "Just scan, pay, done," Titi says. "And every payment is protected the moment it lands."

Boboo — KashePay Marketplace & Storefront character
Marketplace

Boboo

Marketplace & Storefront

The storefront guardian. Boboo represents verified sellers, safer product discovery, and the secure checkout that protects every order on the KashePay Marketplace.

Setting up a trusted online shop in Ghana used to take weeks and cost millions. Boboo makes it 90 seconds. KashePay Shop gives every verified seller a QR-powered storefront that buyers can find, trust, and pay through — with escrow protection built into every checkout automatically. Boboo represents the new generation of Ghanaian commerce: informal sellers with professional-grade protection. "Your shop. Your brand. Every order protected," Boboo says.

Kwesi Rider — KashePay KasheXpress & Tracked Delivery character
Delivery

Kwesi Rider

KasheXpress & Tracked Delivery

The family's road warrior. Kwesi rides for KasheXpress — GPS-tracked pickups, OTP-confirmed handovers, and proof of delivery that releases escrow the moment the package arrives.

The final step in any safe transaction is delivery — and Kwesi Rider owns that step completely. KasheXpress provides GPS-tracked pickups, OTP-confirmed handovers, and timestamped proof of delivery. The moment Kwesi's delivery is confirmed, Madam Steel releases the escrow funds to the seller. No confirmation, no payment. "I don't just deliver packages," Kwesi says. "I deliver the moment your money moves."

How it works

Escrow in four steps.

Buyers pay and the money is held and protected. The seller ships with proof, the buyer approves — and only then is the payment released.

Step 1

Pay

The buyer pays into their virtual account (VAN) by MoMo or transfer — one reference per order.

Step 2

Held & protected

The payment is marked funded only after the bank's signature is verified. A receipt is issued and the seller is notified.

Step 3

Delivered with proof

The seller ships; KasheXpress picks up and delivers with OTP, photo and GPS. The inspection window starts.

Step 4

Approve & release

The buyer approves — or the window expires — and the payment is released to the seller. A dispute freezes it.

The platform

Everything a protected payment needs.

A complete escrow infrastructure built for the Ghanaian market, with logistics, receipts and compliance built in.

KasheXpress

Built-in logistics: distance-based quotes, pickup and delivery with OTP, photo and live GPS tracking — without leaving the app.

PDF receipts

Numbered receipts (payment, delivery, settlement, dispute) generated only after verification, with a full breakdown.

Disputes

The buyer files a claim, the release freezes, evidence is collected and an admin decides: refund, release or partial.

KYC with Didit

Ghana Card + liveness (ISO 30107-3) + AML checks. Only a hashed, encrypted reference of the ID is ever stored.

Virtual account (VAN)

Every customer gets their own virtual account at signup, for direct MoMo and bank collection.

Auto-release

Buyer-chosen inspection window: instant, 24h, 48h, 72h or 7 days. No response means automatic release.

Trust & compliance

Engineered with bank-grade security.

KashePay controls the flow, the ledger and the decisions; the money lives with a licensed provider. Every movement is verifiable and auditable.

Signed webhooks

A payment is marked funded only after HMAC-SHA256 signature verification and amount reconciliation — never on a screenshot or message.

Immutable ledger

Every transition writes an immutable event with actor, timestamp and reason. History is never edited — only corrected with a new entry.

Full idempotency

Unique references and idempotency keys mean nothing is ever credited or paid twice, even when the bank retries.

Minimal, encrypted PII

Only a hash of the Ghana Card is stored (Ghana Data Protection Act, Act 843). Sensitive data is encrypted at rest.

OmniBSIC rails

MoMo collection, high-value transfers and per-customer virtual accounts, all behind a provider adapter.

Dual control

High-value payouts require two admin approvals (maker-checker), with retries and backoff on failures.

Transparent pricing

1% escrow. No surprises.

A 1% escrow fee, split between buyer and seller, plus a 1% merchant fee paid by the seller. Every percentage is admin-editable — never hard-coded.

Worked example: a GHS 1,000 item with GHS 45 delivery.

ItemGHS 1,000.00
Delivery (KasheXpress)GHS 45.00
Escrow 1% — buyer shareGHS 5.00
Total the buyer paysGHS 1,050.00
Escrow 1% — seller share− GHS 5.00
Merchant fee 1%− GHS 10.00
Net payout to sellerGHS 985.00
Trust, verified

Protection you can point at.

Escrow means the buyer's money is held safely at the bank until delivery is confirmed. The seller knows the funds are real, the buyer knows the seller can't disappear — and KashePay only releases when both sides are satisfied.

For buyers

Your money doesn't leave the bank until you approve.

You pay into a virtual account at OmniBSIC. The seller only sees "funded" — never the cash. If the parcel never arrives or isn't what you ordered, one tap freezes the release and opens a dispute.

For sellers

Ship with confidence — the money is already there.

You see a verified "funded" status before you dispatch. Delivery is captured with OTP, photo and GPS so proof is on your side, and the inspection window auto-releases if the buyer stays silent.
